When survivors contact Project Safe, they are often scared and unsure about what the safest course of action is for them. Some need immediate shelter, some need help to escape their situation, some need legal advice, and some just need reassurance that they don’t deserve what’s happening to them. Project Safe’s advocates are trained to ask questions to learn more about the situation and help the survivor determine what THEY want to do. Crisis intervention looks different for each and every survivor because every situation is different. A few ways we can help are:

  • Assistance with filing TPO paperwork
  • Transportation
  • Home security equipment
  • Safety planning
  • Providing shelter
  • Financial assistance
  • Foster homes for pets
  • Connecting survivors to additional resources
  • And much, much more

We are always striving to find new ways to be more effective in our work to empower survivors of domestic violence, and will always do everything in our power to connect survivors with the resources they need to create a safe, stable life for themselves and their families. If you or or someone you know are struggling with an unsafe situation, call our 24/7 hotline at 706-543-3331 to speak to an advocate about the best course of action for you.
